Mr. Saito is involved in the sourcing, acquisition and oversight of new and existing investments and is on a secondment from the Marubeni America Corporation (“MAC”). Prior to his secondment at Branford, Mr. Saito worked as a manager at MAC’s parent company, Marubeni Corporation, a publicly listed Japanese trading and investment conglomerate. While at Marubeni Corporation, Mr. Saito worked on the group’s mergers and acquisitions activities and business development for its private equity business and was also seconded to Mizuho Bank New York branch, where Mr. Saito was engaged in project finance transactions in the Americas. Mr. Saito also served as a Vice President at iSigma Capital, Marubeni Corporation’s private equity platform in Japan, where he was involved in the sourcing, acquisition, and oversight of new and existing investments, and sat on the board’s two portfolio companies. Mr. Saito is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA) and has passed all sections of the US CPA Exam (license pending).
